Death Doula, Senior Advocate, Compassionate End-of-Life Support, and Friend of Old People
My name is Sarah K. Coffman, and I am a certified End-of-Life Doula and Educator. I walk alongside individuals and families as they navigate aging, serious illness, and the final stages of life—offering steady support, honest conversation, and a caring presence.
Before this work, I spent many years in advertising, design, and big tech. But during the pandemic, something shifted. I realized I was being called toward something more personal, more meaningful—work centered on care, connection, and showing up for people when it matters most.
Looking back, this calling has always been there. Since I was young, I felt drawn to hospitals, nursing homes, and visiting people who were sick or aging. I didn’t think much of it at the time, but I now understand how rare and important that instinct is. Being with someone in a vulnerable moment is a privilege I hold with deep respect.
In those spaces, people often open up in ways they haven’t before. They reflect on their lives, share their fears, and say the things that feel hardest to say. I meet them there—with warmth, without judgment, and with a steady, grounded presence.
There is nothing more important to me than helping others and giving them a voice when they feel small or frail. It can be incredibly hard to advocate for yourself when you’re not feeling your best, or when you’ve never been shown how. That’s where I come in. I help make sure your voice is honored and your needs are not overlooked.
I’m not afraid of hard conversations. I show up with calm strength when things feel uncertain or heavy. Whether you need guidance, advocacy, emotional support, or simply someone to sit with you, you don’t have to go through it alone.
This work is personal to me. It’s about presence, dignity, and making sure no one feels alone at the end of life.
